Reaching Out

I ran across this video from the Jeremy Camp website, Jeremy explains how one day about 9 years ago in California he got the chance to reach out and help a man named David. At first he was on the phone and kind of brushed the man off before entering the DMV, but after feeling the convictions of his heart he prayed and asked for a second opportunity to really reach out to David, but when he left the DMV, David was gone. God gave him a second chance when Jeremy saw David again at a nearby "In N' Out" Jeremy asked David to join him for lunch, conversation and a prayer and now David, has returned 9 years later with the help of an email from his wife, arranging the meeting as a surprise to David to meet Jeremy again to see the new David.





Thoughts:

• This is a very touching story and really makes me stop and think about what God might be telling me but I'm too busy to hear.
• Remember to not get caught up in life to the point that we forget about the needs of others.

If it wasn't for that second opportunity for Jeremy to reach out to David that day , who knows what would of happened to David, and his wife. Remember she kicked him out of the house, he was on heroine, and he was living under a bridge. God does some amazing things in our lives when we actually stop and give Him a chance. Don't be afraid to reach out and lend a hand to those in need, most of the time someone really just needs to know you see them, or even care enough to ask how they are doing.
